Free Verse # 123 (fallen in a bowl of wine)

So let us be foolish!
Two butterflies seeking ever sweeter flowers
fallen in a bowl of wine.

~

Absorbed into your music
a tear kissed my cheek and flowered,
a poem breathing light.

~

Night whispers in the air
and a restless song awakens inside of me,
its waters bubbling against my ribs
and rising to echo through the night – O love, O love…

~

In the garden of my love
the flowers I laid in your hair
burn into stars,
and the kisses I planted
deep under your skin
burst and stream through your blood,
a breath of the sun,
an intoxicating wine.

~

Behind closed eyelids
the churning of eternity,
the infinite rush of stars
filling timeless wells with dreams.

#orgasm

~

Hold me now, all-encompassing,
the blue sky embracing the earth,
the burning tree rooted in the infinite
her starry branches encircling the nightsky.

~

Softer than the softest petal ~
one melted on dawn’s blue lips.

~

A burning wick always has its head bowed.

~

Midnight harvest,
your hand and mine
pressing grapes against the moon,
we fall through the sky.

Blossoming Everywhere

Your words, uttered by my lips
turn to flaming-butterflies,
fire-flowers fluttering in the air
and falling back against my mouth,
ravaging, searing, bruising, burning,
melting on my tongue
and flowing, a wild stream of fire
falling down my throat
and consuming me whole.

I sleep and wake at dawn
to find you in my breath,
in the gentle surge of silence
blossoming everywhere.

Free Verse # 122 (tempestuous)

Would my falling petals
rest in your palms and lap,
tangle themselves in your dark hair,
quickly, quickly,
I’d lose all my tears and smiles,
become a poem weaved inside your breath.

~

Water on parched skin, your lips;
a cool balm on open wounds, your breath;
a dawn spilled on drunk minds, your eyes.

~

Life’s luxury?
A garden full of flowers,
a book of poetry,
and you…

~

And this heart beating in our raised hands
shall join our lips at its holy fount,
eyes bound in eyes
our gaze shall sail through endless skies.

~

Night,
my heart a beacon at the helm of heaven,
a full moon whispering your soul to silence,
guiding you to the seat of my endless heart.

~

Smear the pine needles with your poetry
and let it sink under my skin,
words of wine and water tattooed,
images coursing like rivers,
serpentine dances
burning into ecstasy.

~

Totally absorbed into your luminous presence
my heart, a million-petal flower, slowly unfolds,
his fragrant waters purling songs of praise.

~

My entire life I’ve been fashioning one arrow,
the one that, released from your bow,
shall bind my heart to the altar of the sun.

~

Like a mystic flower
blossoming in the forest deep
not a soul knows my abode.

I travel with the company
of the moon and stars.

~

Mateless, the moon,
drifting through the sky,
his pouring light
a song of lamentation
bewailing his lost love.

~

Your absence suddenly dawned on me
and I realized how famished I were,
since birth deprived of your water and  fruits.

In relentless waves
thirst and hunger swept through my body
and fire glowed outward from my blood and marrow
binding me to find you.

~

I carry you like rain in my heart.
When the earth kisses me
I leave her soaking in the fires of your love.

~

Close your eyes.
I am the silence flowing
between each of your heartbeats,
the world spread open
at the edge of your exhaled breath.

Surrender to me…

~

Love is a shared willingness to grow.
For with that,
the tree plunges deeper into the darkness
and rises higher into the light.

~

Flower to flower,
a bee fluttering in your heart
silently spreading ecstasy.

~

Love,
bursting at the seams of existence,
paints the world in colours of impossible hues.

~

Flitting from wall to wall,
you were a moth locked inside my heart.
Love shattered me & you flew out,
becoming a flame setting my vision afire,
consuming all my lust.

~

…and burying your lightning bolts
deep into my chest,
let them strike against the stars…

~

Flowing back and forth,
the essence of our kisses
ferments into honey,
drips into the palm of night
burning like stars.

~

I am an old garden
growing in youth envisioning your touch,
the feel of your naked feet against my skin,
my fragrance as it inhabits your chest.

~

Breaking the pearl of silence,
two bodies soaked in dew,
tangled in the arms of dawn.

~

Chrysalis of the heart,
a moon entering the sun’s house
and rising, overfull.

~

Envelop my need with your silence,
soaking in my lust and greed
to the very last drop,
unlocking my deepest heart.

~

Our bodies,
coiled round each other
into a perfect circle,
love’s glory shines,
a sea of light where
sun, moon, and stars
flow along white waves, drunk,
burn into thin air
and are scattered, like dust.

~

Carry me on your wing
like a ray of sunlight
and lay me in dawn’s blue palm,
a white circle of joy, spinning,
exuding poetry.

~

I am love bubbling in its own flame,
desire extinguished on its own altar.

~

Love anoints the lover
a doorway between this world and the next,
then love takes him away,
making him vanish.

~

Fish swim in water;
birds fly in the air.
Stars suckle at a hidden breast;
and lovers inside a world of flames, combust.

~

Bringing her the scent of her beloved
the flower blooms,
uttering a fragrant song of praise,
a hymn to the full moon.

~

You spread your poems before me
like springs of clear water
and fountains of pure fire.

I drank and washed,
burned and cleansed,
felt your breath and essence
etching itself into my very core,
uttering me – your poetry.

~

When you touch my heart
waters within move and flow,
waves rushing as they near the shore,
froth writ on desire’s lips then melting, gone.

~

Tempestuous, our lovemaking.
Then the sun rises
over wet flowers and lips,
birds sing,
a rainbow crowns the sky.

~

When our fragrances meet
the air turns to honey,
golden and thick,
and at the same time
light and clear,
like dawn’s first breath.

~

Practicing calligraphy,
I whet my tongue inside your well of secrets,
call forth its humid nectar for ink,
its stars for fiery dots and marks.

~

My wings, which are made of light,
shall cradle you,
and inside this cocoon of light you’ll grow,
a sun to the world,
a moon to the night.

~

Placing your ear against my heart
you break into water,
melt into my soul.

As night waxes dark and deep
I birth you from lips,
a full moon in the sky.

Free Verse # 121 (the grace of our love)

Spread open like a vale of stars,
let my arms be your home.

Fall into them,
suckle at their blood and light,
and rise in full glory
like the morning sun.

~

You slip into my heart
and my tears suddenly start falling
like autumn leaves that held on for too long,
my smiles bloom in silence
like a spring rising from the unknown.

~

You enter me silently
like a wind blowing through the garden
carries her scent and seeds
towards hidden skies,
weaving her hushed murmurs
into dewdrop verses
that wash the blissful faces of lovers,
and the earth as she smiles.

~

In every tear,
in every smile,
you are the essence
moving through my heart.

~

Placed on our altar
even thorns are fruits
filled with the desire
to quench our lust,
roses awaiting to bloom
whilst feeding on our blood.

The grace of our love…

~

The night, a moonlit ocean
and my heart,
a vessel full of longing
sailing towards your shore.

~

Swept by the rain,
scattered by the wind,
the petals of my longing.

Each, a poem,
once hugging my heart,
now roaming the world
searching for you.

~

When my eyes open
you flow out to paint my world in colour,
and when they close
you breathe life into my dreams.

Free Verse # 121 (kissing in the heart of life)

Walking through the garden
the wind lifts her skirt.
White flowers blush,
red flowers drip with honey.

Your stillness,
a serene moon gathering me
like stardust at your feet.

~

With each of her breaths,
a star shivers and falls
off the lashes of the night,
rippling through desire’s pool,
waves of sweet delight.

~

Kissing in the heart of life
our fingers will tangle
like roots in the ground,
our bodies will twine,
a tree of fire,
and our branches spread
to cover the whole sky.

A Life of Poetry

Let me serve you poetry
in spoons brimming with ecstasy.

Sinking into the darkness
deep behind your eyes,
the wells shall fill with light
and tears you will cry.

Quenching the thirst
of age old desire,
a sun like no other
on your face will flower,
and our dance will go on,
deepening and rising,
until poetry becomes
our life entire –
a silent breath,
an inner beat,
a star which flesh
is tender and sweet,
and which core is a dawn
no mind can envision,
and no words can touch or meet.

Free Verse # 120 (a simple life of love)

The magic of union –
as our fingertips touch,
we become the sea.

~

And were your songs
not churning through my body
like rivers of stars,
I would go insane…

~

Listening to the night
your stars within me blossom,
crowning me, your flower.

~

In your absence
I am a pool of stars
boiling in the palm of heaven.
You draw near and the stars,
driven mad, scatter,
reducing me to no more
than the dawn of your presence.

~

The sun and moon
I set over your head,
the stars into orbits
around your neck,
and under your feet,
the dawn.

~

I have naught to offer, love,
but a house which dreams
flowered into jasmines and stars,
exhaling perfumed silence,
inner poetry.

A simple life of love…

Free Verse # 119 (find me)

Crucify me on your sky.
Your sun, a fiery spear
piercing through my heart,
scattering me into the stars
people watch at night.

~

Find me swaying in your breath,
a flower in the breeze of dawn,
a leaf loosened by the wind
and carried towards your hidden skies.

~

I am the scent of grape fields
hidden in the folds of your dress,
the dew of dawn rolling
on your naked feet,
jasmine flowers and stars
whose happiness lays
in adorning your dark hair.

~

O love,
take out my heart, a prayer book,
and recite the verses
burning on its pages,
each, a hymn, in praise to you.

A Lover’s Kiss, A Poet’s

The golden hues of twilight,
a music of infinite warmth
I thread and weave around your shoulders,
a shawl quivering in waves of wine,
in breaths spreading open
like gardens of red flowers.

I raise poetry’s flute to my lips and blow
and the shawl starts spinning
whirling you with it,
faster and faster, a crimson sun
showering the world’s face
with melting drops of wine
and the intimate sighs
of every kiss lovers ever shared.

The music suddenly stops and I pull you in,
the shawl, a spiral of red fire
around your neck, draping your body.
On my lips a springing fountain of stars
merges into your forehead as I kiss it,
your body overwhelmed with the awe of birth,
the stillness of moonlight.

Free Verse # 118 (in your trail of stars)

I rest my head on my pillow
and my eyes fill with fireflies,
your heart’s burning whispers
fluttering, melting,
tears on my cheeks,
dreams in my heart

~

Nothing would taste sweeter to my mouth
than those sacred tears that roll
not on your cheeks but,
falling from your eyes,
they seek for your heart.

~

Sorrow in my heart grows,
a gray cloud refusing to weep.

The beloved arrives,
a thorn in her hand,
on her face a loving smile,
and quickly she does her job,
soaking me in my own tears,
then bathing me in the warm clarity
of her light and heart.

~

The flowers sighing
in your garden of dawn
shape me into life.

I am your fragrant breath,
forever ebbing and flowing
at the shores your white face.

~

In your trail of stars I follow,
a fluttering butterfly
slowly reaping ecstasy
and dripping nectared honey,
poetry burning in the night sky.

Free Verse # 117 (home)

All the poetry our hearts bled
we shall one day bring with us
as we travel to the forest deep,
red twigs and leaves
with which we would weave
our forever home,
a beating heart,
a warm, loving nest.

~

When your love stepped into me
my body fell like a morning breeze
drunk on the fragrance of your rising sun,
then it rose to blow eastward,
forever inhabiting the edge of your dawn.

~

No feeling I want more
than the feeling which is denied to me,
home, the touch of your hand…

~

This burning house,
let it fall over our heads,
exhale us into the sky.

Free Verse # 116 (even though I don’t see your face)

Glistening wetness,
love’s velvet cheeks aching soft
to be kissed, and kissed.

~

Offer me your mouth,
let me break it open like a ripe fig
and feed upon the stars
burning in its dark, crimson sky.

~

Ever since you touched me
my words became vessels of fire,
fluttering like butterflies and kissing ecstasy
into every beautiful flower they meet.

~

O Beloved,
Your breath whispers me into existence,
Your lips shaping the air give shape to my body,
burn me at Your will.

~

I invoke and call out your anger
so I may harness with my own body
your lightning bolts and rivers of fire.

Sink them in my skin…

~

Hidden in darkness, bitter wine turns sweet and fragrant.

~

Even though I don’t see it
I know it is out there,
the moon in the sky,
the face of my beloved.

Free Verse # 115 (tangled roots)

Your absence weeps from my eyes,
tears I plant on my pillow
and nurture all through the night.

At dawn they blossom,
white simple flowers
stroking my face
with your beautiful fragrance,
uttering the day’s first prayer
and filling my heart with grace,
and hope.

~

I set my kisses free like butterflies;
may they suckle their nectar from your lips,
rest in the warmth of your eyes,
and, like autumn leaves,
tangle themselves in the flow of your hair…

~

Drifting with the cool morning breeze
the scent of basil and jasmine strokes my face
gently waking me to another day of love.

Your breath, my love…

~

My breath and the light of my eyes
I weave into your shawl and dress,
your blanket and bed,
covering you whole, in me…

~

…and if we breathe,
it is with our lips interlocked.
All else is suffocating,
breathlessness, and waiting…

~

And those who are filled with bliss and ecstasy
carry themselves as a full moon in the sky:
in utter silence flowing, birthing, harnessing stars.

~

…and when you touch me,
every cave in earth’s bosom
echoes with lustful moans,
the heavenly tree shivers and shakes,
her stars loosening and raining,
coursing through the sky
in a great stream of ecstasy.

~

The tangled roots cannot be untangled
without killing both trees.
Such is our existence, you and me.
