Free Verse # 142 (be my wine)

Be my wine…
The cradle of my passion…

~

In your presence
I am a white lotus
embracing the dawn sky,
open to your silence
as it flows through my heart.

~

Our simple touch is charged
with all the blossoms of the world…

~

In the silence of the night
our hearts awaken
and pulsing deep
pour their wine
in rivers flowing
through the infinite stars

~

What is love if not this:
to be known
to the fullness of one’s heart
and from there to overflow
like a stream in the  dawn sky.

~

My touch
lapped around your neck
like dawn’s warm breath,
and your face blossomed,
a white flower
greeting the rising sun.

~

I plant love
in endless kisses
in the palms of your hands.
You then raise them
and lo!
the sky pales,
dawn breaks.

~

There’s a kiss
that’s been written
in my heart.
It will unfurl only
for you.

~

Tender,
like the silent wave of dawn,
let my heart carry you
onto the shore
where our souls and bodies
shall merge and tangle…
…forever one.

~

In the vastness of the night
I whisper to the silence of your absence
and my heart pulses with a beat
older than the stars

~

I am a forest of stars
waiting for your naked feet
to press over my grass,
for your warm breath
to enliven my bosom,
make glow my heart…

~

Harden, O heart,
and let your froth scatter
on the night’s shores
as endless waves of stars.

~

Like a predator’s teeth,
the farther I move from you
the deeper you sink…

~

…and my arms long to cradle you
like the rosy lips of dawn.

~

With my pure tears
let me wash your feet;
with my heart’s dawn
let me scent your hair;
and with my burning lips
let me set your body
aflame with a kiss.

~

Would that I were a crystalline stream
coursing amid your white hills and curves
as amid lush gardens of flowers and milk.

~

Like the sun itself,
like the whole world,
each dawn our love is born anew.

Out of Dark Mountains

The mist is clearing as the sun rises
And in my heart hums a new song.
The night has lifted, gone its disguises,
And my heart glows, potent and strong.

The jasmine scent glides with a new boldness
Cool with the thaw of winter snows,
Solitude blooms with infinite softness
Sings on the lips of the red rose.

Below the mountain the horizon spreads
Wide once more and onward calling,
The blowing of its wind from my face sheds
Burning tears, butterflies of spring.

Free Verse # 141 (forever in your pull)

Our fingertips touch,
two wings over an abyss
ever harmoniously gliding,
rooted in the dawn of love.

~

The moon,
even when hidden
from the sun
is forever in her pull ~
and I,
twined to your smile,
the dawn of your eyes,
your breath in the wind.

~

Our breaths,
dying on each other’s lips,
shiver through our bodies
a river of flames,
melting us,
down to our bones,
and merging us,
one…

~

I sleep and I wake
and you are the last
and first thought
to whisper on my lips.
I am a river;
the ocean is you.

~

Night falls liquid
over our merging bodies,
his stars like embers
searing into our skin
the wildest poetry.

~

From night’s womb
I pluck the ripest stars
and with poetry’s threads
weave them into a blanket
to cover you all night,
my love…

~

Out of the well of infinite solitude
my poems rise,
like stars from the invisible womb
filling the night sky.

~

From a hidden shore
her jasmine breath travels
through the infinite night
to find my face,
and breathe me into life.

~

Let night’s melody
hum in your blood
an endless froth of stars,
rivers of dark wine…

~

O beloved,
let me pour the dawn
into your eyes,
reap from your lips
the purity of his dew,
from your womb
his morning star.

Free Verse # 140 (the breathless key)

My breath,
threads of twilight
weaving around your neck
a shawl of endless warmth,
a hand of stars
stroking your face
breathless with desire

~

Touched by your eyes
as if by a burning flame,
my heart spins,
a sun inside my chest,
scattering divine sparks,
setting the world aflame.

~

In dawn’s clarity we dwell,
two jasmine flowers rubbing cheeks
and breathing silent ecstasy,
open, like the white sky.

~

Raining from the stars,
night’s silent whisper
unfurls her voice
deep inside my heart.

I shiver,
a tear hugs my cheek,
falls into the sky.

~

I wake up to find myself
bathing in a sea of sunlight.

Your face has risen over me,
an inexhaustible fountain of love.

~

Smeared on your lips,
poetry’s wine
is a tender flame
you sear into my skin,
burning in my blood
your name,
the fragrance
of your kiss.

~

Only by being lost in you
am I really found…

~

I fall into your eyes
as into a vortex of light
to emerge,
an exulted song
through your eyes pouring,
painting the whole world.

~

Petal by petal
let me unfold your smile,
a white flower dancing
in the palm of dawn.

~

My each kiss
plants a star
under your skin.
And my kisses are infinite.
You become a night
laden with stars,
a poem in my arms
unraveling.

~

Night’s stillest hour,
your warmth overflows
from my heart,
a fountain of love.

~

What do I pen
except my blood and tears
on the face of the sky,
stars to fill the womb of night,
dew to swathe the earth
at dawn’s first sigh.

~

The kiss you left on my lips
ever deeper soaked,
a fire weeping through my skin
and, touching my heart it bloomed,
a sun within.

~

Only lovers hold
the breathless key
that makes the world
shiver in their hands
like a dew-soaked flower.

~

You touched my heart
and night itself awoke in my veins,
a womb birthing stars.

~

One endless dance
in unison ebbing and flowing
amid the world’s dust,
we are…

~

My finger on your belly
and the entire ocean
traverses through its tip…

~

My fingers pass through your hair
and stars shiver and fall like dew
onto the face of the earth,
wetting all lovers tangled in love.

Lovers, Freydoon Rassouli
Lovers, Freydoon Rassouli

What is my heart if not your home
where the sun itself
unfurls from your womb.

Free Verse # 139 (bruised

You touch me
and I become a river
roaring in the sea of your heart.

You touch me again
and my center breaks,
dissolved and beating
deep in your soul.

~

Waxing in your eyes
The evening star whispers
As in my veins the longings
Of a thousand solitary nights burn
Melting me whole,
a river in your arms.

~

I thought myself a weed
until I bloomed on my lover’s lips,
a flower sighing her most fragrant breath
into the open mouth of dawn.

~

Through You I am a sun
which exuberance outshines
the universe’s bounds.

~

Your breath,
sun’s burning nectar
melting in my wine.

~

You’re not here,
but I make love to your image
seared into the faces of dawn and dusk.

You’re not here,
but your voice falls through the wind
like autumn leaves rippling
in my soul a thousand longings.

~

The edges of your tongue
upon my skin,
a blade of fire
mercilessly dancing,
searing countless verses
forevermore to glow
as emblems of fate.

~

I was a gray cloud,
but then you touched me.
My flakes, falling on your skin, thawed,
merging back with the sea.

~

Your absence,
an abyss gnawing at my heart,
a black hole expanding,
threatening to sweep me
out of existence
to shelter me inside of you.

~

Like spring over the earth
I envelope your body,
flowers exhaling my essence
into your every pore,
bees stinging into your blood
the venom of my poetry.

~

Your kisses left me bruised,
blue patches under my skin
billowing with ocean water
and expanding, widening,
soon, soon, to engulf me whole.

~

With a whiff of purity
and a trumpet of secluded woods
solitude called out to me once more,
and I rose, and I flew
to bathe in oceans
of pure light.

Free Verse # 138 (spring)

I welcome you into my heart
as the parched earth of summer
welcomes the first autumn rain…

~

Your breath,
the winds of forever
billowing amid my ribs…

~

And my breath rolls over you
like endless waves of stars…

~

And my breath falls like flowers
into your open palms…

~

When my breath falls silent
like the dew of the night
all I want is to be still,
embraced by your arms…

~

Slowly, achingly,
your red lips sear into my skin
the alphabet of desire,
liquid words of fire
shifting into endless verses,
poems in my flesh dancing,
ever intensely burning,
scattering over my body
moans and dewdrops
from the womb of your lust.

~

Inhaling your scent,
A garden stroked by autumn
Sighs ancient longings,
A kiss older than time blooms
At the center of my heart.

~

At the turn of each season
a star unfolds her light
into the heart and soul…

~

In your presence
I grow vulnerable
like a flower
opening her arms
to embrace the sun.

~

Etched into my skin,
every dawn your love blossoms
into countless white flowers.

~

Her touch upon my skin
drips with moonlight,
jasmine scented whisper
stroking my cheeks,
soaking into my heart.

~

My words upon your skin,
a lightning rolling hard and deep
churning your womb
into an ecstatic fire…

~

A lustful hunger
sensuous like dawn’s first rays
aches for your moistness

~

On merged lips
jasmines and green leaves,
their scented dewdrops
scattered on lustful bodies
drawing into us their fire…

…we, the garden of creation

~

Eros binding us,
ever lustfully, ever deeper,
at each moment our love-child
dies and is reborn,
juice and milk
churning through our bodies
seeding the whole earth

~

Come to me,
invade every recess of my being
until I am wholly soaked into you…

~

Dawn,
I writhe tenderly
Like a weeping flame,
Soak my dewdrops
Into your skin & womb
Then fall from your eyes,
An endless rain of longing
Aching for our bodies
To merge in every way…

~

At dawn
my breath bathes your naked body
calling you into me, home…

~

In the shade of my silence
your soul will stretch out and grow,
a flame in desire’s mouth writhing
and seeding night’s womb with endless stars.

~

Like desert sands
my skin burns for your touch,
a sky which dry lips
long to kiss the stars.

~

Caressing your lush lips,
my fingertips tracing
endless trails of stars…

~

Come,
plant your lips into mine
and read your burning name.

~

The last thread of dusk
withdraws from the sky
and I slip into the silence,
moonbeams on my lips
whisper your name,
wet me with your sighs.

~

Into a river of stars
my breath melts
and flows over you,
burning dewdrops inscribing
ancient hymns of lust.

~

The flush of twilight in my veins,
your drunk kisses through my blood streaming
a song of bliss and woe…

~

Inflamed by your love ~
I am an unbound surge of fire
thundering like Zeus’s hammer
and licking earth and sky.

~

Between your thighs I trace my home,
a course between the stars
raining from your womb;
Into your womb I spill my lust,
a volcano of desire
unifying our hopes,
making us whole…

~

I am an unbound ocean
with a single desire:
to flow into you,
to wash over you,
to rub the salt of my essence
deep into your skin,
to adorn your neck, hands, and feet
with my most precious pearls…

~

The stars of our love
I harness from your eyes
and weave into
the most beautiful poetry…

~

My heart is beating.
Come, place your ear against my chest
and shiver to its fire
as it eats you inside out

~

I hold you into me,
a summer of jasmine-breaths
and flower-scented kisses
wafting amid my ribs…

~

Pulling you close
into my lap, your home,
I place my lips against your ear
and whisper, so softly,
my heart in a melting word,
shivering your womb
into a fountain
of lust and love…

~

As I wake
my thought and thirst drift to you
and I fill with such an ache
wanting our bodies
to be joined as one.

~

Loving you is dancing
on the tip of the moon-blade
and many a time as I slip
I feel it entering my heart.

~

Your tender kiss
breaks my heart open
releasing his jasmine scent
in white whiffs mingling
with the first breath of dawn.

~

I vanish into you
like a bird in twilight skies,
like a dewdrop shivering
on the rose’s lips
then falling to her heart.

~

Your foot no longer treading my garden
it grew wild and fallow,
each flower a thorn
piercing through my heart.

~

Your kiss ~
the pulp of a thousand suns
rushing through my mouth.

~

The moon’s sickle
and heaven’s stars
I weave over your head
crowning you,
a queen over my land.

The Song of the Flower

Slides over you,
the waves of his love
cradling you like an infinite ocean,
washing over your whole body,
kissing it, brushing it, rubbing it white,
etching into your skin
the salt of his essence,
the breath of his heart,
allowing you to bloom
like a flower in the mouth of dawn,
her perfume wafting over
the gardens of existence,
singing hymns to love.
