Free Verse # 169 (burning out of existence)

My words
like autumnal leaves
have fled the trees of my heart,
leaving behind the echoes of a wind
blowing amid the bare poems of love.

~

Pilgrim birds-
my words were bound
to live in my chest for a little while
and then, journeying back, homeward,
to return to your heart.

~

Your breath ~
my poem’s colour
and inner vitality.

~

I curl upon myself
as in my mother’s womb,
& when the touch of your light
makes me stretch out & bloom
from my belly rises the sweetest tune.

~

This longing
which ties the world
between the lovers’ bodies
drowns it in a river
of ineffable silence.

~

Like an abyss of stars
she came over me,
her mouth an oasis of silence
burning with the infinite waters of life.

~

Caravan of convulsions,
each, a wave of stars
rushing under your skin.

~

This love,
a wound that never again shall mend;
this love,
a crescent moon overflowing
with the still water of dawn.

~

To claim you
from the depth of my soul,
as the dawn claims the earth
from the endless depth of night.

~

Her breasts,
protruding like the white
flowery branches of a spring tree,
their far edge holding out
two red fruits,
fragrant and glistening.

~

Touching her cheek tenderly
with the back of my hand
her eyes close
and I feel her plunging
underneath the waves
of a tumultuous warm sea.

~

Press into me
as the crescent moon gently melts
into the curve of the nightsky

~

Like a blanket of dreams
Budding with endless stars
Lay me over you,
Soaked into your skin
I blossom like a dawn
Each star a white flower.

~

My poems adorning your body as the stars the nightsky.

~

The scent of pine
wafted on the dawn breeze
from a nearby forest
mingled with the jasmine breath
of your dark hair
and covered me like a dream.

~

From your dimples down low
up to the nape of your neck
an ocean stretches –
still waters,
wild currents,
tumultuous waves.

~

Burning out of existence
With a sigh of ecstasy, my poems,
Autumn leaves falling into the fire
Which our love in your womb has lit.
