What’s left of you and me?

By Alexander Polyakov

Cradled in love’s embryonic water
a song of infinite warmth
blending our lifelines,
weaving our flesh one.

Weeping through our skin
dawn becomes a fountain
washing the world’s face
with the light-waves of our love.
